Dressing soaked in Water-Jel, 10x10 cm size. For use on hand burns.

Water-Jel is a first aid treatment for burns. It is a "hydrogel" made from pure demineralized water, disinfecting Tea Tree oil, and a medicinal gelling agent. It is thicker than water and does not evaporate.

Water-Jel can be used as an alternative in locations where no water is available and as a supplement to cooling with (preferably lukewarm) water. Water-Jel utilizes the principle of heat extraction. The burn is cooled by transferring heat from the damaged skin to the hydrogel. The heat is then not retained in the gel but released into the environment. The heat from the burn is therefore rapidly dissipated.
