Water-Jel is a care product for the first-aid phase of burns. It is a so-called "hydrogel" made from pure demineralized water, disinfectant Tea Tree oil, and a medicinal gelling agent. It is thicker than water and does not evaporate.

Water-Jel can be used as an alternative in locations where no water is available and as a supplement to cooling with (preferably lukewarm) water. With Water-Jel, the principle of heat extraction is applied. The burn is cooled by transferring the heat from the damaged skin to the hydrogel. Subsequently, the heat is not retained in the gel but is released into the environment. The heat from the burn is therefore quickly dissipated.
