Additional Information

The Petzl ASAP is a mobile fall arrester for a safety rope. It can be used on both sloped and vertical lines. Attach the Petzl ASAP to the sternal (chest) or dorsal (back) attachment point of your harness. As you move, the device rolls along with you automatically. In the event of a shock, fall, or uncontrolled descent, the ASAP locks. It also locks if you grab the device in a panic.

With the lock function, you can fix the device in place on the rope. Do this as high as possible above the attachment point of your harness. This limits the length and therefore the impact of a fall.
