Key features
- Dimensions & Design: This Medium (M) variant measures 11 × 50 cm and is typically supplied rolled.
- Material: The core consists of a soft, pliable aluminum alloy surrounded by a IXPE polyethylene foam sheath. The patient side is blue and textured (for grip and air circulation), while the outer side is a conspicuous yellow.
- Medical properties: The splint is completely X-ray and MRI translucent (radiolucent), meaning it does not need to be removed during medical imaging.
- Ease of use: It is fluid-repellent (against blood, sweat, and secretions), easy to clean or disinfect, reusable, and can be cut to size with bandage scissors if necessary.
